Swimming Party

No comments:
Thea's first experience of a swimming party happened last Saturday. She was invited by her cousin Jam-Jam on his 3rd birthday party. The party was held at 4:30 pm at their rooftop. We don't have any idea that it's going to be a swimming party.

She woke up from her afternoon nap a bit late than usual. While having our merienda (snacks), I heard Jam's grandma calling from outside. I hurriedly pull a pair of Barny outfit for Thea while her other cousin BA was also getting ready. They were accompanied by BA's mom since hubby and I had previous appointment. According to her, Thea was the first one who jump to the pool, she's also the youngest. They went home before 7pm.

Recently, my blogger friends are talking a lot about PayPerPost and they encouraged me to register my new blog. PPP has opened various opportunities to bloggers from different parts of the world. Similarly, individuals and companies can easily advertise their products and services through the help of PPP. Furthermore, I am able to meet new friends in the blogosphere who share the same interest with me. I really admire all the people behind this site that unite bloggers and advertisers in one hub.

Perhaps, I can use my future earnings in buying a new pair of shoes for my husband, or a nice story book for my little girl. I am just so happy...So what are waiting for, click the PPP badge on my sidebar and sign-up now.

I enjoyed answering this personality test which was passed to me by Kcee

Click to view my Personality Profile page

ENTJs (Extraverted, Intuition, Thinking, Judging) are strategic, organized and possess natural leadership qualities. They are master coordinators that can effectively give direction to groups. They are able to understand complicated organizational situations and quick to develop intelligent solutions. ENTJs are outspoken and will not hesitate to speak of their plans for improvement. They are decisive and value knowledge, efficiency and competence.

Wow, I can't believe that my personality level is comparable to those of famous ENTJs (haha) -Al Gore, Bill Gates, Dave Letterman , Margaret Thatcher and Whoopi Goldberg, to name a few. According to the results, ENTJs are often happy with the following jobs which tend to match well with the Chief/Intellectual personality such as business administrator, computer Consultant, corporate executive officer and politician.

Interested? Just go to this site and take the test...:)

PR = N/A

2 comments:
I’ve been wondering how Google Page Rank, Alexa, Technocrati, and Entrecard would benefit bloggers. That’s why I spent hours consulting my most reliable friends - Google and Wiki. I first Google Page Rank Checker but sad to say, my PR is still N/A. Well, I’m not surprise by the result because my website is still new.

Web Page URL:
http://www.wengzaballa.blogspot.com
The Page Rank:

- N/A

While the abovementioned resources are very helpful, I’m still taking baby steps in discovering their benefits. I also welcome suggestions, comments and assistance from you- my readers and visitors. :)

Summer Adventure

2 comments:

The family’s out-of-town trip at the beach somewhere in Zambales was postponed due to some reasons. First, it would be a long and tiring travel and we need to leave as early as 5am. Second, beach is not as safe as private pool or resort especially for the kids (na sobrang makukulit). We thought that we’re not going to pursue our vacation plans anymore… Not until my mom-in-law said that we are going to La Mesa Ecopark and she already prepared our baon (packed lunch). It was past 10 in the morning then. After few minutes…broooommmm, brooommm, we’re already traversing EDSA. Upon reaching the place, we noticed that the park is almost overflowing with groups of day-trippers…And to our dismay, the girl at the entrance announced that the park’s swimming pool has already reached its maximum capacity. Hence, all the people outside who want to swim cannot be accommodated anymore. Guess what’s the funny side of it… we parked out vehicle outside, and then ate our lunch under the shade of trees hehe…Hmmm, yummy!

Next stop…Commonwealth Avenue, where we sent off hubby’s nephew who will be spending summer vacation in Nueva Ecija together with his cousins.

“Let’s try there”, one of the kids insisted…I’m referring to Sea Breeze Resort in Taguig. But, we were disappointed (the second time around) because the resort was closed.

We all went home tired and disappointed...Well, at least we tried hahaha… and there’s little Thea who kept on singing Bahay Kubo, and Me Love (by Sean Kingston) throughout the trip.

She's Excited!

No comments:
Whenever I arrive home, I would ask my little girl how was her day like. Did she behaved properly with her Tita , did she take a nap, what did she had for merienda, and stuffs like that... After her afternoon nap, she is allowed to play outside with her cousins. Kwento ng husband ko, inayos daw ng bro-in-law nya ang van. Then, there comes Thea kulit, and asked him this:

"Tito 'No, alit? (I mean alis)", Thea asked.

Then he replied , "Opo, inaayos ko sasakyan natin dahil aalis tayo next week".
He's referring to the family's summer out-of-town trip next Friday. We are planning to go to a beach somewhere in Zambales. My husband's relatives invited us to visit them at their place. It has been a tradition of the Zaballa's to drive as far as Nueva Ecija to relax and enjoy the summer.
Thea really loves to swim, kaya excited na talaga sya, hehe. Excited na kaming lahat hahaha.

Thea on "Serious Mode"

No comments:
Learning to write/draw

The photo above show my 23-month old Yasmin Althea, doodling with her "kikay" pen on my old desk calendar as if she already knows what to write or draw, hehe.

Watching favorite TV shows

...Seriously standing beside our bed, watching her favorite TV show. I think that was during commercial break on TV Patrol, hehehe.

Flower girl?

No, she's not. That was taken my friend's wedding. I had to bring her outside while the wedding rites is on-going because she kept on saying "Uwi" and the attendess beside us seemed to be distracted.

Thanks Cbox1

See How "Dora" Influenced Her!

2 comments:

One of Thea's favorite show on nickjr is Dora the Explorer, an animated series designed to engage pre-schoolers in a play along adventure.

Thea loves imitating her moves, and even the way she talks. Here are some proofs:

1. she can count 1-10 in Spanish: Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, sais, siete, ocho, nueve, diez. (I'm not sure if I spelled "sais" correctly.)
2. she says : "Abre-Open" and "Sierra-Close" whenever she wants to open or close the
door or something.
3. She also imitates "Oh, mannn!", the way Swiper say it... Swiper is a sneaky fox in blue mask and gloves, who appears in almost every episode.
Indeed, she's certified Dora fanatic. Btw, she also wore Dora costume during our department's Kids Party last year.

Am I bad?

5 comments:
Last night, we had fried fish for dinner. That was the easiest way to prepare since I arrived home a little bit late. My husband bought mami (noodle soup) at the canteen near our place. Fish and noodles are Althea's favorites kaya ganado na naman syang kumain. I gave her noodles and fish, di ko na sya binigyan ng rice. When we are about to finish eating, my sister-in-law who just arrived from work asked if we have veggies. Sabi ng husband ko, wala Ate, sa'yo na 'tong mami...Nakupo.... yun na ang start ng tantrums ni Thea. Gusto pa raw nya kumain ng noodles.
No matter how I explained that she can't have it anymore, she continued crying. Imagine, can a child who is barely 2 years old do that? I realized na advanced talaga ang pag-iisip ng anak ko...Naawa ako sa kanya, I followed her immediately, then kinausap ko sya. I explained to her that it's not proper to eat too much. Saka lang sya tumigil sa pag-iyak.
Tama ba yung ginawa ko? O baka 'bad' mama ako? I should have not uttered those words, right? Dapat hindi ko sinabing "maglalayas ka na ba?"
Are there alternatives ways to discipline our children? Can we discipline them without shouting or spanking? I think we can...But there are some obtacles. Our challenge is that, it is lot easier to talk about what we are not going to do than figuring out what we're going to do instead. When we are stressed, we tend to go back to the old pattern, that is, spanking and shouting.
My husband and I want to change the style of disciplining our daughter. Since shouting and spanking has a negative effect on her. The more we shout or spank, to more na nagiging makulit sya... That's why we are currently looking for alternative ways by talking to our parents, and some research from books and internet.
We will really appreciate your comments too...
