Learning How to Draw

1 comment:
I want to share a "funny" conversation with Thea. After attending choir rehearsal yesterday, I opted to stay at our dining area to review for the upcoming mid-term examination. Since I have to browse several books I needed a bigger space and the only appropriate one at home is our dining table.

As soon as I went down the dining area, the little girl insisted to go with me because she wants to draw and scribble too. Seems unsatisfied with my response, she also asked her Tita Leny (my sis) the same question. The latter said “Aakyat din si Mama mo pagkatapos niya magsulat”. And then she asked again, ‘Susulat si Mama, drawing sya ng circle saka ng rainbow?" I momentarily stopped from writing and laughed out loud. Poor Mama, learning how to draw circles and rainbows at age 31 (hahaha).

My simple accomplishments are as follows:
1. Prepared some stuffs for Hubby (Barong and work clothes)
2. Meet sis J's dad at Glorietta to give him the small package. Sis J is Hubby' new friend who's going back to Oman next week.
3. I attended two meetings yesterday. Another busy day for a public servant. :)
4. I cooked delicious "sinigang na bangus" for our dinner.

Another Great Weekend!

7 comments:
We had a wonderful weekend. Thea and I woke up early last Saturday. We went to the church at 8am. The two photos below were taken in front of our church. Though, we had a hard time taking pictures (as usual), the first one look so cute, right? Her Papa bought that red butterfly-printed dress before he left. I am really proud of my husband, he's very good in shopping. In fact, he also bought almost all of my maternity dresses when I was still pregnant with Thea.

This photo was taken at the mall near our place. When we were still at the church, I promised her that we'll go to Jollibee. With the approval of hubby (he called to check on us, i.e. how did the w.service go, what did Thea wear, etc.), we went to the the mall. Thea and her Kuya BA, enjoyed the rides, too.

Our 3rd wedding anniversary is fast approaching- It'll be on August 20. As early as now, we should be planning how to celebrate it. We should be asking what gift we want to receive. Yeah, it has been our habit to ask each other what gift we intend to receive on a particular occasion. We are not fond of surprises. Hubby is not a type who will give you bouqet of flowers, he's more into giving something I can use everyday, such as clothes, shoes, or a piece of jewelry. Last year, I received a pair of earrings on our 2nd wedding anniv.

Oh, how I wish you're here to plan for our 3rd anniversary. Well, that's life...It's for our family's future anyway.

Being away for 17 days and counting, I terribly miss him...

Tuesday Toot (July 15, 2008)

6 comments:
"Better late than never", as they say. Yeah, it's not too late to toot my own horn, haha. Well, I have accomplished a number of things yesterday.
I woke up early, performed my daily morning task as a mom. I cooked for my family's breaksfast and lunch. Although, I'm still on adjustment period and terribly misses Hubby, life must go on...
I am the first one to arrive at our office early, 7:25 a.m. to be exact. That is some kind of an accomplishment for a busy mom like me. As a matter of fact, there is a reason behind that. Alex and me need to report at the university registrar's office for I.D processing. Our supervisor allowed us to leave the office. She instructed us to be back at the office before 1:00 p.m.
After ID processing, I tagged along Alex at the university arcade to claim the book I ordered last week. Another achievement... and the fourth for my Tuesday Toot was completing the PowerPoint presentation for the report on Saturday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, for my to deliver the report properly. Please wish me luck, guys!

On Paid Blogging

2 comments:
Whenever I open my inbox, I feel frustrated. Why? There are numerous opportunities on paid blogging and blog advertising that are coming my way. But then, I can't grab the opportunity for now. First and foremost, I do not have my own computer/laptop and internet connection at home. Aside from blogging and an part-time online job perhaps, I also need it communicate with my husband. It will also help me in my research works and for other school-related purposes. I really want to have them both on December. Secondly, I have a hectic schedule on my full-time job. And last but not the least, I got busier at home, attending the little girl's needs and daily household chores.
Oh how I wish it's already December.... lol.

"Right after your husband proposed, what was the first thing that came to your mind?"

When will be the best time for us to get married, December 2003 or June 2004? If we will choose the first one, both of us will be lonely months after the wedding. Btw, he was waiting for the result of his application to an overseas job when he proposed. So we thought, we'll probably schedule the wedding on June 2004. He left for a one-year contract with a Korean company on the latter's project in Libya. We got married on August 20, 2005, a month after he arrived from Libya.

Kids had Fun @ Star City

1 comment:

Kids love attending birthday parties. Balloons, cakes, lip smacking chows, bundle of loot bags and funny kiddie games. In addition to that, kids enjoyed a ride-all-you-can treat from Keena who celebrated her 7th birthday yesterday at the Star City, CCP Complex.

Though my little girl was not in perfect mood, I had taken few pictures of her during the party. Special thanks for Alex who took the fourth photoJ. I’m expecting some more from Ate Marifi’s camera. I’ll post it also as soon as I get the copy. She was afraid of Barney. I didn’t know why, maybe due to the size of the mascot hehehe.

Congratulations, Jojo and Leth!

The baby has arrived!
When I checked my Frienster account today, I noticed that one of the friends just created a photo album entitled "My Little Angel". Huwaattt? I got curious. Lileth gave birth already. I am aware that her due date is July. However, I've been busy during the past few days that I forgot to check on her from our other pals. Anyways, I sent her an sms the moment I read that update on Friendster. Confirmed! She had a normal delivery to a 7.3-lb. baby boy last July 1. It's glad to hear that she had a normal delivery despite here worries and fears during her pregnancy.

The mom - I met this girl through common friends some time in year 2004. It was during a group dinner at Red Crab, Greenbelt. Then the next one was at Market!Market! and several get-together followed. According to her, she was both happy and sad when I got married in 2005. Then I asked why. She said it was some kind of regret because we've been friends for only a short period of time that I was still single. Nevertheless, we still hang out from time to time, no matter how busy we are.

I'll find time to visit you girl, can't wait to see the baby. To Jojo and Leth, congrats once again. Enjoy the joys of parenthood! God Bless!

Happy Birthday to the Best Mom in the World!

No comments:
Today marks the 72nd natal day of my Mama. We greeted her last night through a phone call. I felt that she was teary-eyed when the little girl, in her turn to greet Lola, said I love you, Lola and sung "Happy Birthday". Mama was amazed and said ang ganda naman ng boses mo (you have good singing voice).
She indeed a great mom, perhaps almost everyone say that thier moms are the best in the world. When I was younger, she would sew a dress for me, particularly during special ocassions. She rarely gets mad, and even when she does, she will still be in her mellow voice. '
Although we haven't got the chance to spend more time together, I will always be here for you. We, your children, can never recompense all your hardwork, your unconditional love, and everything you've given us all these years. Nonetheless, we are here to pray for your good health. Again, we thank you so much for everything. We love you, Mama!

First Phone Call

2 comments:
July 3, 2008, 8:41 a.m. – It was Hubby’s first phone call. He called last night, unfortunately I was into deep sleep that time. When I wake up at 3:45am, I have 3 missed calls and I’m sure it was from him. Since I was already in the office when he called, he promised to call again tomorrow evening.

Missin' You This Early...

7 comments:
... but I need to be strong.

Hubby just left at 4pm this afternoon to pursue his overseas job. He called not once but 5 times from the time he arrived at the airport until finally boarded on the plane bound to Oman. He said that he has mixed emotions - he was excited and sad. Excited because he is given an opportunity to work abroad again, and sad because he will be away from us for the next 12 months.

On our conversation last night, he was the first one who cried. He will miss our darling Thea and me. He also told me several times to take good care of Thea, to take care of myself. We promise to remain strong and constantly pray to God for His guidance.

Little Thea innocently said to her Papa to bring Koko Crunch as pasalubong when he come back [LOL].

To Papa:

Always take care, we love you so much. Call us as soon as you arrive there ha.
